Adam Scott Martensen of Ord, Nebraska, passed away peacefully at his home on May 6, 2026, at the age of 55.

Born on July 21, 1970, in Burwell, Nebraska, Adam was the son of Kenneth and Mary (Bauman) Martensen. He was raised on a farm-ranch near Ericson, Nebraska where he developed a passion for riding horses.

Adam's early education took place at Ord Public Schools, then graduated from Ord High School in 1988, where he was active in FFA. Following this, he pursued further studies at Northwest Missouri State, before returning to his hometown of Ord, where he made his home.

Throughout his life, Adam contributed in various roles throughout the area, notably as a mechanic, farm hand and bartender. Despite facing significant challenges, including a leg amputation resulting from an accident, he continued to assist local farmers during planting and harvest seasons.

Adam was known for his love of tinkering with small engines and participating in Wild Horse Races. He also enjoyed collecting an eclectic assortment of items, engaging in card games, and spending time socializing with friends.

He is survived by his siblings: Bruce Martensen of New Castle, Wyoming, and Amy Martensen of Red Oak, Iowa, as well as a wide circle of relatives and friends.

Adam was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Mary Martensen, and two brothers, Brian and Alan Martensen.

Cremation has taken place. At this time, no formal services are planned.
