Alan Ray Mars, 56, of Broken Bow formerly of North Loup passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at CHI Health Immanuel in Omaha, Nebraska.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 7, 2023; at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord. Father Scott Harter will be the Celebrant. Inurnment will be in the Ord City Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the Ord VFW Post #7029 and American Legion Post #38.

Alan Ray was born June 14, 1966 at Ord, Nebraska to John Keith and Delma Louise (Miska) Mars.

Alan graduated from Loup City High School in 1984. He served in the United States Air Force from 1984 to 1988.

Alan and Gretchen Bermudez were united in marriage on August 28, 2018.

Alan is survived by his wife, Gretchen; step-daughter, Rhianna both of Broken Bow; and a sister, Amy Mars of Lincoln.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
