Barry Dale Tate, 74 of rural Ord, Nebraska passed away peacefully on January 10, 2024; at his farm home in Western Valley County, Nebraska.

Barry Dale Tate was born on November 14, 1949, at Roaring Springs, Pennsylvania to Dale B. and Dorothy M. (Evans) Tate. He was raised in Williamsburg, Pennsylvania where he received his education and graduated from high school in 1967.
Following graduation, Barry attended Tech School for Computer Training. He then managed Howard Johnson Hotels and Restaurants for a number of years. In 1977, Barry began his career of over the road trucking and later was promoted to a truck dispatcher. He was employed as the Terminal Manager at Tank Lines Inc. and in May of 2016, he became the Terminal Operations Manager at Triple C Transport.
In the late 1970's he moved to Nebraska and made his home in Omaha. He enjoyed the farm life and settled on a farm in western Valley County, Nebraska in 2020. He continued to work for Triple C Transport while living on the farm.
Barry was married to Gloria Showalter in Cumberland, Maryland. This couple was blessed with three daughters.
Barry was an outdoorsman who had a passion for hunting and was an excellent cook. His pride and joy was his family and he enjoyed keeping in touch with his daughters and grandchildren.
Survivors include his three daughters and sons-in-law, Rebel and Chris Walter, Shane and Daniel James and Kendra and Shawn Brubaker all of Williamsburg, Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Bonnie and Stephen Garman and Connie Dell; all of Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his former wife, Gloria.
