Bryan L. Mentzer, 69, of Ord passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024.

Bryan Lee was born November 1, 1954, at Burwell, Nebraska to Arthur J. and Caroline M. (Rohde) Mentzer.  He grew up on a farm near Ericson, Nebraska and received his education at Rosevale Country School and graduated from Ord High School in 1973.

Following high school, Bryan moved to Columbus and later Cheyenne, Wyoming. He returned to Ord and married Linda Waltman on December 3, 1983. To this union a son, Eric was born. Later Bryan married Robin Young and they spent 13 years together.

Bryan had a career in construction; working in various capacities throughout his life. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish; and also enjoyed playing cards and pool; and listening to music. Bryan was a story teller and swapped stories between his family and friends.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Sich of Ord, Joseph Sich of Lincoln and Eric and Amber Mentzer of Ord; six grandchildren; and a sister, Sharon and Bob Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Eric Mentzer; and a sister, Ruth Larson.

Mr. Mentzer's wishes were to be cremated.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
