Charles W. "Charlie" Morgan of North Loup passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Arbor Care Center in Ord, Nebraska at the age of 82 years.

Charles was born on October 4, 1943, to Oliver B. and Roena J. (Dunbar) Morgan, at the family home near Martin, South Dakota. The family moved to Loup County, Nebraska then settled in Valley County. Charlie received his early education at Davis Creek District #36 rural school and graduated from Ord High School in 1963.

On May 22, 1964, Charlie and Claudia Powers were united in marriage at the Mira Valley Church south of Ord, Nebraska. Charlie worked for area farmers and ranchers before he became an independent roofer and worked for Valley County Department of Roads.

Charlie was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Lions Club. He was an expert in many trades; always willing to help anyone in need. He especially enjoyed popping popcorn at Popcorn Days and was known to drive his son's 66 Chevelle a bit too fast.
