Darlene McKenzie

Darlene K. McKenzie, 77, of Greeley, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at her home in Greeley.

Darlene's wishes were body bequeathal to science.  A family inurnment will be at a later date in Greeley, Nebraska.

Darlene Kay was born January 17, 1944, in Omaha to William L. and Florence C. (Kinder) Soll.

Darlene was raised in Valley, Spalding and Greeley, graduating from Greeley Public School in 1961.  She was united in marriage to Robert J. McKenzie on September 16, 1961, at Greeley. To this union two sons were born, Nicholas R. McKenzie and Anthony A. McKenzie.

Robert and Darlene lived in their family home in Greeley throughout their married life. They also kept a retirement residence in Omaha for four years to be near their newborn grandchildren.

Darlene loved to be with her family and friends; baking, entertaining and enjoying country music.

Darlene is survived by her husband of 60 years, Bob of Greeley; sons, Nicholas and Anthony; grandchildren, Jack and Grace (the light of her life) all of Omaha; sister-in-law, LaVon Soll; niece, Deanna & Kent Hansen; and nephew, Micheal & Michelle Soll all of Bancroft.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Jack Soll.
