With profound sadness and enduring love, we announce the passing of Dawn Christine Iverson of Hastings, Nebraska. Dawn passed away unexpectedly on June 29, 2026, at Ord, Nebraska at the age of 58.

Dawn was born on July 11, 1967, at Broken Bow, Nebraska to David and Cloetta (Shultz) McAlevy.

She lived a life defined by compassion, humor and unwavering devotion to others. She was a beloved daughter, devoted mother and a cherished friend whose warmth and generosity touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her deep appreciation for family was reflected in her close relationships she nurtured in life.

Professionally, Dawn dedicated her career to helping others, as a nurse caring for the elderly.

She is survived by her children, Tosha (Shawn) Kunzman, Kyle (Brooke) Iverson and Kimberly Johnson (Tim Starman); grandchildren, Devan, Savana, Adalyn, Kamron and Reagan; siblings, Glenna (Mike) Beaty and David (Angie) McAlevy; her mother, Cloetta McAlevy and many loving nieces, nephews and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, David and her husband, Steven K. Iverson.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that Dawn has been reunited with the love of her life, Steve who passed away on March 15, 2025, they will both be deeply missed and forever remembered.

The family will receive friends, and a viewing will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ord Memorial Chapel. To honor Dawn’s wishes, a private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
