Don Iwanski

Donald F. Iwanski, 59, of rural Ord passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.

Mr. Iwanski's wishes were to be cremated.  A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Donald Floyd was born February 6, 1962, at Ord, Nebraska to Floyd James and Marie (Rysavy) Iwanski. He grew up in Ord and graduated from Ord High School in 1980.

Don worked on the family farm and for local farmers. In 1982, he married Vicki Kramer. To this union a son, Brent was born. Don farmed and was a heavy equipment operator; traveling to Arizona and California from 1995 to 2012, then continued to work for Roger Frahm at Ord.

On September 19, 2012, Don was united in marriage to Edith Grace "Brandy" Lau. The couple made their home on Don's farm east of Elyria where Don enjoyed the farm life and the North Loup River.

Tinkering in the shop and constructing homemade items were some of his favorite pastimes. He mostly enjoyed the bonfires by the river, hunting, fishing and golfing; and spending time with his grandsons.

Survivors include his wife, Brandy of Ord; a son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Michaela Iwanski of Sargent; two grandsons, Brent and Brody; four brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Sharon, Steve and Pam and Tom all of Elyria and Rich and Cheryl of Brigham City, Utah; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Pauline and Randy Hahn of Aurora, Theresa Beal of Virginia and Diane Iwanski of Sargent.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
