Jeffrey N. Kovanda, 54, of the Ord and Burwell areas passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023; at his home in Ord.

Jeffrey Norman was born November 4, 1968, at Burwell, Nebraska to Keith J. and Pamela (Nelson) Kovanda. He spent his childhood in Burwell where he received his education and graduated from Burwell High School in 1987.

Following high school Jeff continued his education at Hastings College. He then moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he worked in the food and restaurant business. In October of 2016, Jeff returned to Nebraska and made his home at Rolling Hills Terrace in Ord. While living in Ord, Jeff worked for Leth Tree Service, Pump & Pantry, Ord Housing Authority and most recently the Elyria Bar.

Jeff was a people person, enjoying every opportunity to visit with the many friends he made at his jobs and riding his motorcycle. He attended the United Methodist Church of Burwell.

Jeff is survived by the people who loved and cared for him, Ron and Judy Simpson and family; Philip and Kathy Mann and family; Jerry and Nancy Hughes and family; and his many friends in the area.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside and Inurnment Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Cottonwood Cemetery in Burwell, Nebraska.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Burwell Veterans Park.
