Jonathan H. Standlea

Jonathan Hale Standlea, 39, of Burwell passed away on December 12, 2021; after a short illness.

A  celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at the Burwell First Congregational United Church of Christ.

Jon was born on March 13, 1982, at the St. Francis Hospital in Grand Island, Nebraska to Robert and Kendelyn (Graves) Standlea. He grew up in the Taylor, O'Neill, Butte and Sargent areas where he also received his education.

Upon graduation he continued his education at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and received a Bachelor Degree in Social Services. Jon worked in Lincoln for several years in the social service field and in 2011, moved to Scotia. In 2017, he made his home in Burwell and worked as a clerk at the Pump and Pantry.

Jon was a quiet person who enjoyed reading and watching movies.

Survivors include his mother, Kendelyn Malmstrom; brother, Wayne; niece, Rozalynne; nephews, Robert and Gabrial Standlea; and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert in 1996; step-father, William Malmstrom; grandparents, Alvin and Mary Lea Standlea, George and Lottie Graves; and step-grandparents, Lyle and Maxine Malmstrom.
