Kathryn Fowler

Kathryn E. Fowler, 97, of Ord passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at the Valley County Health System in Ord.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2020, at Ord City Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude's Hospital.

Kathryn Edith was born March 16, 1923, in Valley County, Nebraska to Harry H. and Jennie E. (Cronk) Clement. She spent her childhood in Valley County where she received her education and graduated from Ord High School in 1941.

Following high school Kathryn went to Nebraska City where she worked for the war effort until moving to Santa Monica, California and worked at Douglas Aircraft. On May 8, 1944, Kathryn was united in marriage to Marion L. Fowler at Santa Monica, California. The couple first lived on the Air Force Bases located in Idaho, Texas, Colorado, North Carolina and Panama. Following the war the resided in Belleville, Kansas and later relocated to Denver, Colorado where they made their home for 45 years. Kathryn returned to Ord in 2001.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Terry L. Fowler of Loveland, Colorado and Michael E. and Lucy Fowler of Palm City, Florida; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marion; two sisters, Velva Seaman and Meda Long; and a daughter-in-law, Dee Fowler.
