Lester Allen Bristol, III, 61, of Greeley passed away unexpectedly at his home in Greeley.
Lester's wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2022; at T.R. Crickets (Brick Palace Building) in Greeley, Nebraska.
Lester Allen was born October 13, 1960, at Gillette, Wyoming to Lester Allan Bristol, II and Juliette Eugenia Cryssels. He was raised on the family farm outside of Greeley, Nebraska until the family moved into Greeley where he received his education and graduated from Greeley High School in 1979.
Following high school, Lester moved to Lindsey, Nebraska where he worked as a welder at Lindsey Manufacturing Plant. He returned to Greeley and met Kim Wright. The couple moved to Spalding, Nebraska and Les began his career at Molts Manufacturing as a welder and fabricator. Les spent 23+ years at this position.
Les returned to Greeley. In 2012, he went to work for the Greeley County Department of Roads. In July of 2016, he was involved in a motorcycle accident which allowed him to retire at home, in Greeley.
Lester grew up a gear head and had a love for dirt bikes. In the 90's he raced motor cross. He was an avid pool player and loved having a good time. He will be remembered as a man who would do anything for anyone and one to give a stranger the shirt off his back.
Survivors include his children, Jennifer Bristol of Scotia, Michael Bristol (Karley Collins) of Fullerton, Thomas Bristol (Magie Jones) of Grand Island and Jennifer Litz (Kyle Litz) of Monroe; 11 grandchildren; 1 expectant grandchild; two brothers, Bob (Terry) Bristol and James Bristol both of California; and two sisters, Sue (Gordon) Sullivan of Greeley and Lori (and the late, Tim) Greisman of Spalding; and the mothers of his children, Kim Wright and Janet Moody.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son-in-law, Nathan Marshall.
