Lyndel Campise
Lyndel Lee Campise, 81, of Ord, Nebraska formerly of Groves, Texas passed away peacefully with her family and friends by her side on Tuesday, February 28, 2023; at the Valley County Health System Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023; at Ridgewood Church in Port Arthur, Texas. Pastors Kyle Campise, Dustin Guidry and Brent Sorrels will officiate. Lyndel will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Oak Bluff Memorial Park at Port Neches, Texas. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Melancon's Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family. Condolences may be sent to Kyle Campise, 2220 N Street, Ord, Nebraska, 68862.
Lyndel Lee was born November 23, 1941, at Port Arthur, Texas to Thomas C. and Gladys E. (Laird) Lewis. She was raised in Port Arthur and Groves, Texas. Lyndel graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur and Lamar University in Beaumont.
Lyndel was untied in marriage to Anthony Campise, Jr. She taught English at Edison Middle School at Port Arthur, Pre-School at Cathedral Daycare in Beaumont and ABC Daycare in Groves. In September of 2015, Lyndel moved to Ord to be closer to her son, Kyle and his family.
Lyndel loved the Lord and God's word. She enjoyed attending Bethel Baptist Church in Ord and was a former member of Ridgewood Church in Port Arthur. She enjoyed her family and friends and making them laugh. They would often wonder what may come out of her mouth next.
Lyndel enjoyed coloring and word searches and had a love for cats.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Kyle Campise of Ord; three grandsons, Solomon, Samson and Seth Campise; a sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and John Green of Montgomery, Texas; and a step son, Michael Campise and his wife, Pamela of Groves, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Anthony Campise, Jr.; and a step-son, Dennis Campise.
