Nate Marshall

Nathan John Marshall, 36, of Scotia passed away at the scene of a motor vehicle accident the evening of Saturday, March 13, 2021.

A Celebration of Life will be held the date is undecided at this time.

Nathan's final act was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.

Nathan was born October 17, 1984, at Ord, Nebraska to Donald Eugene and Cynthia Ann (Burton) Marshall. He was raised in Scotia where he received his education and graduated from North Loup-Scotia High School in 2003.

Following high school Nathan moved to O'Neill where he worked as a welder. Between then and his final move home to Scotia in 2009, Nathan lived and worked in a number of Nebraska towns and also resided for a time in Kansas. Nathan and Jennifer Bristol made their home in Scotia and raised their family, Alexa and Kayson.

Nathan enjoyed the outdoors; hunting and fishing. He loved working on ATVs and vehicles; and riding motorcycles and ATVs. Nathan mostly enjoyed loving his kids and family. Nathan was known by those close to him as one that took pride in helping others and was capable of fixing nearly anything.

Survivors include his father, Donald of Kearney; his mother, Cynthia Stroud of North Platte; his significant other and their children, Jennifer Bristol and Alexa and Kayson Marshall; a step-daughter, Abagail Jones; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Steve Marshall and Cameron and Samantha Marshall; a sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Brian Ruzicka; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and step-father, Harold Stroud.
