Pat Lammers
Patricia A. Lammers, 90, of Greeley passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at St. Luke's Good Samaritan Society in Kearney.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Greeley, Nebraska. Father Sidney B. Bruggeman will be the Celebrant. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at Greeley. Visitation will be held at the Church on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and the Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Church.
Memorials are suggested to the Greeley Fire and Rescue Department or Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Patricia Anne was born September 23, 1931, at Grand Island, Nebraska to William B. and Freeda G. (Tullis) Cain. She was raised in the St. Paul, Scotia and Greeley areas and attended school at St. Mary's Academy in O'Neill where she graduated in 1949.
Pat continued her education at the College of St. Mary in Omaha and obtained a degree in Medical Technology. She remained in Omaha and worked as a Medical Tech until she met John F. Lammers. The couple was united in marriage on November 13, 1954, at Greeley, Nebraska. The couple farmed, made their home and raised their children on the family farm southeast of Greeley. Pat continued her work as a Med Tech at local hospitals and clinics.
Pat was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and belonged to extension clubs and neighborhood card clubs. She was an avid painter, using oil, acrylic and water paints. She enjoyed caring for birds, reading, listening to music and watching Nebraska Football and Volleyball. Pat especially loved her family and watching the grandkids and great-grandkids grow-up.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, William and Cindy Lammers of Grand Island; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Dave Smuskiewicz of Kearney, Mary and Paul Hoepner of Bloomington, Minnesota and Susie and John Graff of Greeley; ten grandchildren, Lana and John Weitjes, Kevin and Kelsey Bogus, Ryan Lammers, Cassie Lammers, Alex Lammers, Laura Smuskiewicz, Stephanie Gifford, Kaitlin and Dan Greene, Kimberly Graff and friend, Roth Neumann, and E.J. Graff; nine great-grandchildren; one expectant great-grandchild; a sister, Rosemary O'Connor; and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John who passed away on November 22, 2007; a son Fred Lammers; three grandson, Jack, Jared and Jacob Lammers; and a brother-in-law, Lawrence "Larry" O'Connor.
