Peggy Luby

Peggy J. Luby, 70, of North Loup passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at the Valley County Health System Hospital in Ord.

Mrs. Luby's wishes were to be cremated.

Peggy Josephine was born July 8, 1952, at Dayton, Ohio to Tom and Jan (McBeck) Caster. She spent time in Dayton before moving to Omaha, Nebraska where she graduated from Westside High School in 1971.

In 1975, Peggy was united in marriage to Dennis John Luby at Grand Island, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Grand Island and Peggy worked at Overhead Door Company for 15 years. They moved to Phoenix in 1985, where Peggy was employed at Universal Technical Institute for 10 years.  In 1998, they returned to Nebraska and settled in North Loup. For 10 years Peggy worked at Timberline in Ord and spent the remaining 12 years of her career at Mid-Nebraska Individual Services of Ord.

Peggy enjoyed the outdoors; camping and fishing and also played marbles.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis of North Loup; a son, Chris Luby of Doniphan; two grandchildren, Alandra and Autumn Luby; two brothers, Tommy Caster of Cleveland and Timmy Caster of Memphis; and a sister, Beth Bowles of Longmont.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Susie Hobner; and parents-in-law, Jack and Doris Luby.
