Ruth A. Reed, 70, of Ord passed away at the Arbor Care Center in Ord.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Pastor Tom Burkholder will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to the Family's Choice.

Ruth Ann was born May 21, 1951, and was adopted by Paul and Esther Meyer. She grew up in West Point, Nebraska where she received her education and graduated from high school.

Ruth married Darrell Wichern and to this union a son, Eric was born. Following Darrell's passing she married Gary Kramer and the couple had a son, John. Ruth spent her life residing in Nebraska towns including West Point, North Loup, and Merna.  She was married to John Reed and later spent three years in Joes, Colorado. Ruth returned to the North Loup and Ord areas where she resided until her passing.

She was an animal lover, especially cats. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and games and doing crossword puzzles.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Eric and Gena Wichern of Killeen, Texas and John Kramer of Joes, Colorado; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three husbands, Darrell Wichern, Gary Kramer and John Reed.
