Stephanie Peat

Stephanie L. Peat, 50 of Burwell passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at her home near Burwell.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Tom Huffman will officiate. Memorials are suggested to the Family.

Stephanie Lavonne was born January 30, 1969, at Kansas City, Kansas to Charlie and Dorothy Vivian (James) Walker.  She grew up in Kansas where she received her education. She spent her adult years in the restaurant business and as a waitress.

Stephanie enjoyed singing in the church choir, cooking, motorcycles, camping, reading and following her family and friends on Facebook. She loved horses, horseback riding and was involved in 4-H as a youth.  Stephanie had a big heart and was always willing to put others before herself.

Survivors include her significant other, Steven Hawk of Burwell; a son, Nikolas Ohmes of Burwell; two daughters, Hailee Moore of Grain Valley, MO and Makaila Gay of Overland Park, KS; two grandchildren, Adeline Moore and Cameron Ohmes; one brother, Eric Stevens of Kansas City, MO; and a sister, Mary James of Kansas City, KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter, Kaitlynn Walker.
